The Heart Gallery Showcase
Capalaba Park has been chosen to house one of the artworks created recently for Toowong Village’s award winning ‘Heart Gallery’.
The Gallery included ten large heart pieces sculpted by artist David Joffe, which were then given to local artists to paint. The heart on display in Capalaba Park was painted by Russell Fenn, better known as Sofles and is titled ‘Kryptonite’.
Importantly, each heart is linked to a local charity, with each charity receiving the proceeds when the hearts were auctioned off.
Our heart is aligned with Camp Quality. Camp Quality brings positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids facing cancer. They are there for kids (0-15 years) dealing with their own cancer diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a sibling or parent, every step of the way. Their programs provide hospital support, age-appropriate education, camps, fun days and family retreats that provide families with a break from cancer to reconnect and build a supportive community.
There is a QR code displayed next to the heart where customers can make a donation directly to Camp Quality.
